Hotel Information

The annual meeting will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Nashville. The street address is 315 4th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219. Rates are $112/night, plus tax. The rates are for the convention and for three days before and after the meeting. Reservations need to be made by April 2, 2008, to ensure these rates.

The hotel is non smoking, with one floor reserved for smoking. Please note your smoking preference when you register. You may register on line, and download maps and other directions here.

To make reservations, call toll-free 800-222-8733, and indicate the meeting is at the Downtown Nashville hotel and ask the special rates for the Company of Military Historians.

The hotel has a loading dock and freight elevator for those bringing displays of materials for the flea market.

Airport Shuttle

Shuttle from airport to hotel: There is a Grayline Airport Express counter near baggage claim. The price for the shuttle is $12 one-way and $16 round trip (be sure to tell them you are with the Company of Military Historians to receive the round-trip discount. The regular price is $18). Reservations are not required; for more information or call 1-800-251-1864.

Driving Directions and Parking Information

For those driving, take the Charlotte Avenue exit from Interstate 40. (The hotel is two blocks from the state capital.) If traveling west on I-40, turn right onto Charlotte Avenue and take it to 4th Avenue. Turn right onto 4th Avenue. The hotel is one block on the right at the corner of Deaderick Street and 4th Avenue. The Doubletree has only valet parking. The hotel rate is $20/day. As an alternative, there is a Public Square Parking lot on Deaderick Street, diagonally across from the hotel. Parking there is about $16/day. (It is slightly less on the weekend).
